William L. "Bill" Nutting Sr.

William “Bill” Nutting Sr., age 80 of Mishawaka, joined the love of his life, Kristine Nutting, in heaven on the evening of June 7, 2021.  Bill was born June 30, 1940 in South Bend, Indiana to the late William Earl and Jennie Alice (Maeyens) Nutting.  On August 30, 1985, Bill married Kristine Barber in Mishawaka, Indiana.  She preceded him in death on May 4, 2021. 

Surviving are his children William (Candie) Nutting Jr., of Spokane, Washington, Sally (Ed) Luebben of Washington, Kelly (Dennis) Nutting of Fort Wayne, Indiana, Scott Nutting of South Bend, and Karol (Paul) Hill of Osceola. Bill is also survived by his sister Janis Cohen of Mishawaka, 18 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild.  He was preceded in death by his siblings Terrance Nutting and June Fyffe and his grandson Scott Nutting. 

There will be no formal services for Bill, but the family asks that you keep his spirit alive in your memories.  Cruz Family Funeral Home and Cremation Service has been entrusted with his care.

Bill enlisted in the US Air Force and served his country honorably.  He was employed in several local factories such as Dodge Reliant, Wheelabrator and Quality Glass, and he enjoyed bartending as well.  He worked his final 10 years at Lippert Components in Mishawaka before retiring at the age of 70. 

In his spare time, Bill enjoyed riding his Harley with his wife Kristine and watching NASCAR.
